Hello

I must have been about 9 when I received my first set of water colours and brushes.  I was so grateful that I painted for hours, weeks, months (usually on brown paper used lunch bags).  Eventually I was given some (real) water colour paper and I was ‘hooked’.

I borrowed art books and visited Galleries/exhibitions as often as I could over the years and as an adult I began my journey with oils.

My Story

I have been blessed with the opportunities that Art has provided.  It has allowed me to meet wonderful people (artists and non artists) throughout the years.  Some highlights have included,

Receiving recognition from then Prime Minister Paul Keating for my ‘Waltzing Matilda’ oil on canvas.

Selling painted infertile Ostrich and Emu eggs to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Solo Exhibitions of my endangered animal paintings to raise awareness of their plight.

Numerous personal entries in Exhibitions (winning a few bonus Best-in-Shows) along the way.

I now provide 5 Galleries with post card sized oil paintings (framed by Artisan Framing and Canvases) Portarlington.  The most recent Gallery being Artisans of Australia, Portarlington Road, Curlewis.

My favourite achievement by far is....SIMPLY HAVING FUN PAINTING AND SEEING OTHERS ENJOY MY ART.
